Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport could get even bigger with a sixth terminal to handle increased growth in international travel, Sean Donohue, the CEO of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, said Friday.
“A terminal F will likely be in our future,” Donohue said as he addressed more than 100 people at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field. “Given even the most conservative gross estimates, we foresee the airport serving almost 70 million customers annually by the end of the decade from the 60 million we serve today.”

TOP TEN TRAVEL TIPS – WINGATE DFW

Most of us despise having to travel via air. The long lines, security, travel delays, babies screaming, kids kicking. We all want a hassle free flight and trip, so check out our list of top ten travel tips to make your next trip as seamless as possible.

Always pack light and pack wise. Try using packing cubes that can separate your garments and they double as a laundry bag for return flights.

Airlines suggest that you arrive 2 hours early for international flights and 90 minutes for domestic travel. This will give you plenty of time to get through TSA and arrive to your gate on time. To get through security as seamlessly and quickly as possible wear slip on shoes and leave your jewelry in a carry on.

You don’t want to be stuck in a foreign country with no documentation and having to deal with the embassy. You can scan copies of your passports/ID/travel documents and save them to a USB compatible storage device. Make sure you don’t keep the USB in the same place as your passport.

Be sure to tell friends and family your contact information (email address, phone number, places that you will be staying) in case of emergency.

Register with your embassy so that if there is a problem that arises in the country, your government can contact you and get you to safety.

Always be aware of your surroundings and make sure your valuables are closely guarded. If ever confronted by thieves, surrender any and all valuables. They, unlike your life, can be replaced.

Be sure to check in with your doctor and insurance carrier. You want to be certain get all of your vaccinations when traveling abroad and verify that your policy covers you while visiting other countries.

Not every When you need some local currency, be sure to use an ATM or go to a bank. The currency exchanges inside of airports and around the city tend to be huge rip offs. The bank will give you the real conversion rate.

When traveling abroad, be cognizant of the countries entrance and exit fees. Some countries will require you to pay a fee that can range from $20 and go up to $200 to enter or leave the country. These fees are not included in the price of your airline ticket.

Countries have different size plugs and voltage, so be certain to bring charger adapters with you.
